Federation Mission Mosaic Nearly Sold Out

If you have been thinking about joining Mission Mosaic, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation mission to Israel taking place November 3-10, 2013, now is the time to make your reservation. Just a few spaces remain for the unique travel experience, which enables participants to see the Israel that most appeals to them by selecting an itinerary geared toward specific areas of interest.

Mission Mosaic offers six separate tracks that feature different perspectives on Israel’s complex society, creative culture, fascinating current events, diverse terrain, and ancient and modern landmarks. These tracks include:

Discover Israel: Perfect for first-time visitors, and those who have not been to Israel in many years and want to experience the “must-see” sites.

The Israel Entrepreneurial Spirit: Visit high-tech companies and hear from corporate visionaries. Learn what makes Israel the “Start-Up Nation.”

Footsteps of the Bible: With the Bible as your guide, travel across Israel’s landscape while having fun learning about ancient civilizations and cultures.

Politics and Security: Understand the complexity of the land of Israel from a political and security perspective. Meet and hear from high-level dignitaries.

Food, Wine and Art: Visit art museums and galleries, as well as private collections, meet renowned artists, dine with private chefs, and tour outstanding wineries.

The Dynamic Israel Trail: Bike and hike through the landscape of Israel. Paraglide, skydive, zip-line, and ride a dragon boat and 4x4. Perfect for the adventure lover.

Participants also will gain a clearer understanding of the special relationship between Israel and Miami’s Jewish community by meeting people whose lives have been touched by the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign.

“There’s been a great response to this exciting program already and I encourage anyone still interested in joining us to act quickly,” said Mission Mosaic Chair William Lehman. “With its personalized approach to group travel, Mission Mosaic has a very broad appeal. This will be a truly enlightening and engaging trip with memories to last a lifetime.”

In addition to Mission Mosaic’s Israel components, Federation has offered an optional Pre-Mission to Morocco from October 28 through November 3. Now completely sold out, this special journey will provide participants with special glimpses into civilizations that began before recorded history and will present fascinating aspects of life in modern-day Middle East.

“Our trip to Morocco promises to offer us an amazing experience,” said Pre-Mission Chair Jacob Serfati. “In addition to ancient landmarks and natural beauty, we will have the opportunity to explore the Jewish history and culture of this fascinating destination.”

Mission Mosaic participants also can choose to extend their visits to Israel by joining thousands of people from across North America at The Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly, November 10-13, in Jerusalem. This post-mission program includes extra nights at the David Citadel hotel, Miami community dinner, and registration for the General Assembly Conference.

Subsidies of $500 are being offered to Miami-Dade County residents who have never before traveled on a mission to Israel with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 50 qualified applicants, and a few subsidies are still available.
